Materials and craftsmanship are great! I have 3 more of these in a different style & color I bought for my Std Schnauzer when he was about 9 months and now he's 2 yrs and needed one a little larger so I went from a large to an XL which fits great! Of all the dog coats I've had for German Shepherds and now my Schnauzer these are great! These also go on my dogs the easiest with plenty of adjustment as the dog grows!I find it bizarre that this listing doesn't include a size chart. I've attached a chart for this coat from Chewy.com. Anyhow, my 13.5-pound male Havapoo has a 16 inch chest and is 15 inches between the base of the neck and the tail. No dog coat is going to fit perfectly, but size "small" is darn close. The coat would certainly fit a dog with an 18 inch chest. The coat is easy to put on and there is enough room on the bottom for my dog to make urine without getting the coat wet. I especially like that there is a wide opening on the top to fasten a leash to his harness. His coat doesn't get entangled in the Velcro closure and Velcro enables the coat to have a snugger fit than a zipper. Also, zippers on previous dog coats couldn't survive a washing machine, even on the gentle cycle.Nicely made jacket that's easy to put on and off. Big velcro straps keep it on the dog. Large is a touch roomy on our 38 pounder but I like that it's long enough to cover his bum. Doesn't get in the way of him doing his business either.We needed to replace our dog's four year old rain coat and came across this one. This coat is made with a water and wind proof material and has a solid velcro enclosure. The small fits our small 10 pound Bichon (about 12-14 inches from base of neck to tail). It is not too tight nor too loose - plenty of adjustment room.This coat runs a little small. It's a great coat and not only keeps dogs warm, but calms down my hyper heeler.This coat really fits the bill for my pug. Well made, durable and unlike many other coats of this type it allows for a harness attachment. Good product.
