I really enjoyed "Monster of London City." It had so many of the elements I like in a movie: attractive cast, gorgeous sets, beautiful cinematography and a couple of terrific music cues by Martin Boettcher. Although this 2006 DVD isn't rendered to as high a standard as Retro's 2008 DVD featuring "Phantom of Soho," it still looks pretty good. The second feature, "Secret of the Red Orchid," was perfectly suited as bottom half of the double-feature. Not as good as "Monster," and much lighter in tone - but still enjoyable.Too bad more people don't know about/appreciate these films. A blu ray with "Phantom of Soho" and "Monster of London City" would be great. They were produced as companion films by the same team, utilizing each other's set pieces (as well as a few left over from "The Mad Executioners"). Although produced in late '63 and early '64, they were released in the US in 1967 on a double bill and posters for that release still turn up on Ebay occasionally.Glad I got this OOP DVD before they became extinct!
