In past years I have bought Tumbling Tom tomato plants at a local greenhouse. These were miniature trailing tomato plants that I grew in hanging baskets. This year the greenhouse did not sell them, so I ordered these from Hometown Seeds. The seeds germinated successfully and the plants are growing well, but they are much larger than expected. The are nice bushy plants about 3 feet tall. Too large for a hanging basket, but suitable for a large pot. They need a cage. It's late June and the tomatoes seem to be late to ripen, so I can't comment on the flavor. There are a lot of tomatoes on the bush and the plant is healthy.UPDATE: These plants went on to create larger than average, plump miniature tomatoes with great flavor. They were very prolific and were our favorite tomatoes from the garden. The plants are nice, bushy 3 foot tall plants. Great for large pots or small gardens. It is early September and the plant is starting to fade, but I will definitely grow them again next year. (Zone 7B)My only complaint is that they are called "Tumbling Tom" which many people expect to be a miniature tomato plant that can be grown in a hanging basket. But great plant that produces great cherry tomatoes.
