I dye my hair pale blond because 60% of my hair has turned white, but the hair on my crown and front near the face is still brunette. The salon service is VERY expensive. To enable extending the need for touch ups, this product is very effective. I paint on the root concealer starting at the roots with the brush applicator and apply it to the starting point of my blonde highlighted hair, and its the ONLY product I found that covers darker brown roots completely that blends well. If you place a blob that's too much product in one area, you can take a hair brush with dense bristles and blend it in. They stopped selling the dark blonde shade in all the CVS and Walgreen stores in my area, and was relieved to find it available through this seller more reasonably priced than buying it in the stores
