This just came in a few hours ago. I obtained my first box cutter in 1955 as a clerk in Colonial Stores. Yep, they went out of business a long time ago. Since then, I never owned a decent box cutter until now. What a difference this little tool makes. How stupid can one human get and not have a decent utility knife? It is hefty but not heavy. It opens from a safe closed position. It cuts well even most other cutters cut well but you have to be super careful with them or they will cut you. I doubt that this knife will be anywhere as dangerous. This knife is a safe as you can get but best of all it cuts and it cuts well. Having the additional package of blades enhances its value to the user. Hopefully, the stores (Amazon) will have replacements when the time comes. Nothing like saving a trip to the store. Additionally, the safety of this knife will or at least should cut down on the visits to the emergency room.Bottom Line: super product at a reasonable cost. Should last a decent amount of time.October 10, '09 UPDATEPlease permit one caveat. I am a lefty (hand wise that is) and I have found that a lefty has to be extra cautious when using this knife. The blade has a propensity to undo and slip out. An annoyance but a potential problem.
