Holy Moly where to start! This would be hilarious if it were satire...but since I believe it’s meant sincerely, it’s Horrifying, Insulting Conspiracy! First, if you want to learn from Catholic men how to be a good man, go to St. John Paul II or St. Louis de Montfort. This book insults both men and women with mysogynistic poison. It denies the inherit dignity with which God creates both in His image and reduces both to slobbering superficial stereotypes. The advice on relating to others is dangerous. The advice for hobbies and “manliness” is reductive and stereotypical, the advice for faith is dangerous. the author says that Diocesan novus ordo masses are “deleterious” because they are basically all corrupted by homosexual priests (seriously his unsupported argument: if this is offensive, you will hate this book). I am a practicing Catholic, married for over a decade with children, frequent the sacraments, have a graduate degree. If you find intelligent, truthful, sanctifying books edifying, there’s nothing here for you. I include a few photos to show the insanity that is on Every. Single.
