While we can't yet assess the longevity of these stair treads, we can say that they're beautiful in our steep old 7.75" farmhouse stairs. These stairs have worn unevenly over the years and these treads didn't even consider staying put. The manufacturer recommends turning them regularly so that they'll wear more evenly. We won't be able to do that. We didn't want to tape them down because I want to be able to vacuum under them. So we used small nails and put 3 nails at the riser (back) edge of each tread. Many people might cringe at that but we need our elderly dogs, kids, grand kids and ourselves safe on these steep stairs. From past experience, these nails will stay put for 10+ years and I'll be able to lift the front of each tread and vacuum underneath.I want to say that our experience with this seller has been exactly what you hope for from all on-line sellers. They have been responsive and polite, the treads came within the estimated time, and inside the box was a special gift. We were thrilled.The treads are beautiful. Each tread is bound on all edges; they look exactly like the photos. While they aren't plush, they are so NOT industrial. They seem tougher than other treads we've bought and there's been no problem with bare feet or socks. We're convinced that we won't slip and the dogs are relieved.Oh. When we ordered these stair treads, no one had reviewed them yet. We're very glad that we placed our order here. So Home? Keep up the good work!
