This dress was very well-made. The satin seemed heavier than some other dresses like it that I had seen. In addition to the nice weight of the satin, there is a gold satin liner or attached slip that gives it a nice drape and smooth fit. As far as size, my granddaughter normally wears a size 7-8 dress. After reading the reviews, I ordered a size 12. It fit her perfectly, with a little room to move and grow. This size also made the dress fall almost to her ankles, which looks much nicer than the short length in the picture. She had wanted a longer dress, so I was pleased with the extra length. She loves this dress, and it looks beautiful on her. I would definitely order this dress again and may very well need to when she grows out of this onePerfect! Adorable! Got similar dress for American Girl doll and they were twins!The sizing was larger than expected, but material is very pretty.
