I purchased this because my old plastic ant moat cracked and fell apart after a couple of years in the elements. This glass product looks like it will last a long time. It's also very attractive, particularly compared to the big ugly plastic one I had. Bonus: it is red in color and should help attract hummingbirds. When I set up my feeder this spring for the first time, a hummingbird found it in less than 5 minutes!Tip: Use light cooking oil instead of water and you won't have to refill as often, as the oil won't evaporate.
