I love this thing. Have been using it for about 6 years and its still going strong. At first it was slightly (and I mean slightly) uncomfortable; like wearing a giant watch protector. However, you get used to that pretty quick. But, the conveinence of being able to grab a chunk of the hardware you are working with and take it to the table, bench, bathroom, kitchen, door, etc (anywhere you are working), is great. Its a huge time saver and can shave several minutes to a virtual hour of commulative time while working on these projects. It is especailly great for prefabricated furniture and pieces.I just received this and I like it better than another one I have because this one appeared to have flat surfaced magnets offering a larger area for holding parts. The other one I have uses magnetic rods which I don't feel is as good for my preference. This one feels like it has slightly stronger holding power than the one with rod which should mean less dropping of items if they're a bit too heavy for the other one. I think I'll be happy with this product but will need to withhold full judgment until I've used it for some time. I think I'd like it more and would've given it 5 stars if there was a 3rd magnet the same size as they are now to provide a larger holding area for parts. I like the fact the wristband is red instead of black like my other one for easier visual locating in my van or on the worksite. I'd thought I had lost my first one on a jobsite but found it still on my tool pouch strap I carry, it had slid to the end of the shoulder strap and blended in as they are both black in color. One reason I ordered this was based on the fact it was VERY CLEARLY stated a savings of $9.19 (a savings of 46%) with FREE shipping. However, the seller did me charge shipping. When I contacted Amazon, they agreed and contacted the seller on my behalf. The seller promptly relied to me stating that Amazon was the one charging the shipping because my order was going to a PO Box. I'd had many item sent to my PO Box and never been charged extra for that. When I contacted Amazon a 2nd time with the sellers reply to me, they pointed out this item was being sold and shipped by a 3rd party and the seller was totally responsible for the shipping of said item. Amazon then contacted the seller again and the seller did refund the shipping very promptly. In summary, the product seems to be what I was looking for and I expect to be quite satisfied with it in use. The seller annoyed me with their attempted charging and deflection of their responsibility for the shipping. However, I am very happy how promptly the seller communicated and refunded the shipping charge. I just noticed this is now being offered by Amazon with free shipping if part of a $35 qualifying order so maybe the seller I bought from is not involved any longer. My original order more than qualified for free shipping in any case, tho. This is the most useful thing, makes for an excellent giftNot bad. For what it is advertised as, it is quite sufficient. A major surprise, despite what I had read here I didn't believe these would, probably, fit. My wrist at the 'ankle' is 7 1/2", and broadens to pushing 9" in the span of this wrist band. So imagine my great surprise to see that there is a good three inches left for expansion.I bought two. One for general work on the home, auto, or such. One, actually, for fishing. While toggles are fine, sometimes I want two or three tools right and ready, plus the one in my hand. Cold water, long days, tiny work, and toggles can overload, killing the fun. So, I wanted something to, potentially, reduce confusion. While this band will work, mostly, for that, the magnets are a bit weak to be really trusted. However, I may have found a work-around. There are magnets, sold here, that are plates, the might just slid right into those compartments. Stronger, I am almost sure. Not sure of magnetic strength is all about the type, but may have something to do with the mass of the magnets? In any case, they sell 2x1x1/16* and 1/4 magnets. I am ordering both types, to see which will fit. The magnets on the band, while sufficient for smaller things, such as nails, are not really good enough for larger things from some simple experiments.*(CMS Magnetics® Neodymium Magnet N45 2 x 1 x 1/16" Rare Earth Rectangle Magnets, is one set)If you want it for as advertised use, they will work. If you want more strength, for larger items, you might need to tinker. Still, pleased. The one can be as is (though I may upsize it's magnetic strength), but the other, for more demanding purposes, just needs a little fix.Great so we don't lose hardware or other small metal pieces. Easy to use. Comfortable too. Works for me and my husband, despite very different wrist sizes.Bought this for my 75 year old dad who has had issues holding nails and remembering where he left them (as I do as a 33 year old). Great for any age, any gender, any project. This was a great Christmas gift and any hand person would enjoy!!I bought this as a birthday present. It arrived quickly and in a good state. My boyfriend is very happy with it.It is a great idea and works as promised!
