In a nutshell, this is not a "fine" nib and it makes it difficult to write without ink running.The pen itself is magnificent. Good weight, good feel, clever design features in the build like the clip and magnetic closure mechanism on the cap. This really is a good feeling pen and operating it is satisfying.The nib is artful, but the way it writes is not. I got the fine tip, and it is one of the runniest pens I have. Granted I do write small, but this pen simply won't allow for that. Slow writing is difficult as well. It just feels like it is putting out too much ink. For this it loses the stars, the pen is excellent, but a pen is for writing.To be fair, I'm not sure if it is a defect. I will explore that.
