Overall, pretty pleased with these but there are a few things you should know:- first, these ARE NOT stackable as advertised unless you remove the four allen screws that hold the backs to the stools. Without the backs, the stools do stack.- They are VERY sturdy but the seats are very small. So much so that unless you have a bar with at least an 8 inch overhang to lean on with a foot rest rail (fortunately I do so they work for me) no one would want to sit on them very long. Even my tiny 4'11" petite girlfriend's first impression was they are not comfortable, unless she could lean on bar and rest her feet on the bar's foot rest rail.-Finally, if you buy them with the padded seats, you are going to need to make a trip to the hardware store.The way the seats are engineered to attach seems like a gerry rigged after-thought.The cushions have two screw holes that fit diagonally into the stool's handle in the center of the seat. To attach it, you are provided with two screws that have a plastic oversized screw head that you tighten with a coin. (See picture) This didn't work after one get together with the cushions becoming loose.I then tried some pipe strapping between the screws to give a little reinforcement and really tighten down the screw. That kept the cushions in place, but after the next gathering I noticed the screw pushing up to the top layer of padding. It would only take a few more uses before the screw would penetrate through the cushion.I finally bought some hex head bolts and super sized fender washers so I could tighten the cushion to the seat and have it tight enough where the screw won't penetrate the padding. (See second picture)As I said, very study and easily holds 300 plus pounders but disappointed they dont stack as advertised and the amount of extra work to make the seat cushions work.
