We love this game and it's a great stocking stuffer!!!!!Quick to learn for kids and fast to play. Good game. However one of the dice that came with the game was improperly made. One of my blue dice was stamped with two sides showing 3. There was no 2.Fun game, fast, easy storageThis game is small but easy to pack for a trip with family and friends! Easy to learn but fun to play! The concept for Roll For It! is extremely simple: you line up three cards with various dice combinations and you attempt to roll for them. This edition of Roll For it supports up to 4 players, but you can also purchase the Purple Edition to expand play up to 8.Roll For It! goes beyond just a game of chance with a slight twist. Each turn you can leave rolled dice out with the cards and use the rest of your dice to try to roll for it. This introduces a pretty savvy resource management element to the game that makes it much more fun and challenging. The thing I loved about Roll For It is that I could sit down with my kids (aged 7 and 12) and within minutes we were off and playing. Although we were obviously competing there wasn't the same kind of "I'll crush you" vibe that sometimes accompanies games. At times we were simultaneously rooting for and against each other's rolls.Roll For It! is a fairly quick game, you play to 40 points (each card has a score value). We will probably extend some games by upping that to 50, but changing that is extremely easy.Game play is as good with 2, 3 or 4 players. We haven't picked up the Purple Edition to expand our game to 5, but we plan to. It's well worth it.If I could I'd dock it 1/2 star for build quality. The dice in the set are pretty small and hard to wrangle and I wish there were about 2x as many cards in the deck (the deck feels slim at best), but these are very small issues in an otherwise fantastic game. Roll For It! is one of these modern kickstarter games that feels like an undiscovered classic. In terms of playability it fits in the great cannon of games between Uno and Yahtzee and is quickly becoming our favorite quick play game.*Updated 5/24/14*After playing a few times we discovered one of the dice was defective. It had an uneven edge which made it only roll certain numbers. This could be a legendary game, the company just needs to invest in better build quality.Cost was a little high for what's in the box but the fun times we have had playing makes it worthwhile. Fun game. It's our favorite go to game! It's so simple, yet so engaging and entertaining! Fast pace! Get it, you won't regret it.Really easy to learn, and a lot of fun. Dice colors could be a little more distinguishable.Roll For It! is a very fun card and dice game which is quick to learn and play and is ideal to introduce young children, and adults, into gaming. It also makes for a great filler as the turns and games are quick and breezy. If your looking for a heavy or deep game this isn't it.- Design -This red set has basic translucent dice, the purple set has the pearlized dice if you wonder why it looks different to ones you have seen online. The cards of of good quality though the artwork is basic, the deluxe set has a fancy theme pasted on which adds little to the game for the cost.- Gameplay -Each player gets a set of 6 coloured dice. The cards are dealt to the middle of the table based on the number of players. Each player takes turns trying to roll dice to match the image on the cards with each card having a designated amount of points to play for, easier = less, harder = more. The balance is between going for easy points for a quick win, or going for more but potentially loosing out to someone else and lowering your chances to get the right dice through having less available to roll. You can put your dice on multiple cards to make your next turn easier, make sure that you will still be able to claim at least one card with the dice you have remaining. On your turn you can choose to remove your dice from a card, but you have to remove all of your dice, so placement is critical.- Good Points -* Fast to learn and play* Quick games with the right amount of tension* Great for new or young gamers* Amount of luck is a great leveller* Fun for parties or as a light filler game- Bad Points -* Too simple for some* Relies on the luck of the diceEasy to pick up, fun to play.My 9 and 13 year old boys played this for 2 hour straight with grandad.I have taken it to the pub for a couple if hours of entertainment.Ideal for the caravan.Great travel gamegreat for adults and kids alike.Such a fun game for all the family. Often play this when we want something that isn't too time consuming or takes too much mind power. Good when you want to keep the conversation flowing rather than getting engrossed in a board game! Highly recommend for all ages.A friend introduced me to this game, and I had to go out and buy my own set, because it is surprisingly addictive. Simple rules, simple to understand how the strategies work, but always fun to try out different approaches to win!Best game I’ve played in years. My family love it too and when I introduce people to it they end up coming in here and buying it before we’ve finished playing. It’s small enough to be portable for holiday etc and simple enough for people to grasp easily.
