This review is for the PS4 version.I started playing the AC series when I first played the Ezio collection years after they were originally release. So, after getting a late start, I played several other of the AC titles, quickly after getting hooked, including Black Flag. Somehow, I missed Rogue and didn’t realize that came out between Black Flag and Unity. Seeing this remastered version for the PS4 for 17 bucks, I grabbed it.With that being said, this could almost be called Black Flag 1.5 or 2 as it has a lot of similarities in gameplay, both good and bad. The game is shorter than BF in terms of size of the environments and missions.Like Black Flag the gameplay controls are a bit awkward as I tend to grab and jump onto/off something when I really didn’t intend to do it, as opposed to the smoother game controls that came about in Syndicate and games in the series since. Jumping and climbing can be a pain at times in the game and I really miss the smoothness and ease of jumping and climbing that I have gotten use to in the AC games. You would think they would have smoothed that out a bit with a remaster, but alas no.With all AC games, there is plenty to do with side quests and the collecting of things. It is interesting to explore the varies areas around the islands. There is a variety of different quests to do throughout but are pretty similar to what has been done before in the previous games so it does lack a bit in original game play. Like Black Flag, the game has ships and ship battles which are fun, but like Black Flag can be a bit clunky. The collecting of the animus items and songs are also back. They quickly get repetitive and is probably my least favorite part of the AC games. The songs are a bit of a pain to chase down, although you can pretty much stay where the chase starts to get it fairly easily when it returns. If you are familiar with Black Flag, you should be familiar with doing these. It took me a bit of getting use to the controls again, but quickly found my BF sea legs. The environment and scenery are well done and detailed considering the original game is 7 years old and the remaster at least 4 years old. The water is especially detailed and nicely done. The basic gameplay is pretty much the same as BF and lack the smoothness of the later games. The missions are ok and can be challenging, especially if you are trying to do 100 percent completion.Like the earlier AC games, there is still issues with glitchy camera views at times that make it hard to see and do things, such as the scenery blocking your view in the middle of a fight. I do think there is a lot of the sameness in the missions and seems to be more of an extension of BF than an original game. The Animus office scenes are back again and I am still not a fan of that in the game as I think it interrupts the pace of the game and the collecting of notes outside of the Animus is boring and seems a bit unnecessary to the game. Like BF the game menus are a little clunky but that could be because I got use to the way Syndicates menus were done. The story is decent, although not as good as other games, but does give a different perspective of the series. The ship battles are not quite as novel the second time around as the ship controls are a bit clunky and make the battles a bit harder to manipulate than they should be.For 17 bucks, there is still plenty of fun, especially if you are a fan of the series and worth playing, although lacking in originality and the remaster is lacking in improvements in gameplay. It isn’t my favorite in the series and falls more into average territory for the series, but it is ok to play.3.5 starsGot exactly what was ordered. The game was a Christmas giftIf you still haven't played it and always wanted a physical copy here is your chance.Rouge is a great game. I've played the ezio collection assassin's 3 and black flag. I really enjoyed seeing the game from a templar's prospective. I'm getting unity next.I love replaying this game! There is SO much nostalgia reliving this dark chapter in the Assassin’s Creed series, haven’t played this since completing it back on the X-Box 360 days! This and Black Flag which I picked up a week prior to getting RogueA great remastered game. Love the Assassin's Creed game series. This gives a an detailed view of what happened to the Assassin's guild in the colonies time frame in North America. What caused their downfall.Very much enjoyed the game.Muy buenoLogística perfectaProducto en Excelente CondicionesPrecio AccesibleEs una compra que complementa muy bien el juego principalLo recomiendo encarecidamenteGo for the original game. Undead nightmare is small.NO LO RECOMIENDO, ENVÍAN DISCOS CON ERRORACTUALIZACIÒN!!!El juego tiene defectos!
