Wow, do I have to say awhole lot more??? I could quite readily tell you what kind of book and story I'd fully EXPECTED to be reading from the other reviews and the preview...and this didn't even BEGIN to APPROACH my perhaps overly optomistic and maybe somewhat lofty expectations of Ms Mercury's talents in her book!!! Is it at all truly sensual romance reading? Perhaps for old ladies how are looking for a harlequine bodice ripper filled prrimarily with rageing unfulfiled lustful desires, or the occaisional, near exclusively vaginal missionary liaison with one or another husband/brother in this novel about a polyandrous culture. But is it genuinely romance EROTICA??? If it's turely classified as such than it sincerely is a poor example to be so classified by 'Avon Red'!!! With early suggested, certainly anticipated menage' and anal sex seemingly wholly absent from the novel, not to mention hardly any oral gratification, nor any type of the least bit kinky sex play its way too lame, and way too tame to make me even want to slug my way through to its conclusion after getting it about 85% finished...just endlessly HOPEING I'd finally hit some point where it would begin to read like a halfway respectable erotic romance OF ANY KIND!!! Similarly, despite the fact it's not a big thrill of mine personally, regardless of its 'turn-on' for many women and men alike, there's only a single reference to any real kind of lesbian activity as well. Just a whole lot of unfulfilled wants and needs for unforthcomming sexual gratification on evryones part, throughout the largest portion of the book! And what little 'good stuff' there is, isn't particularly lengthy, nor all that erogineously exciting, and pretty well lacks any decently descriptive quality. All in all the whole thing has a more ameturish quality to it than anything else! In fact the only truly decent descriptions are about the characters and the locales the heroine travels though, along with the hidden valley itself. If it should seem I'm being far too critical, I guess that's what happens when I feel as though the previously availible reviews were less than wholy forthcomming in regards to the novels contents, and have attempted to read a book that has left me feeling altogether cheated, recieving absolutly nothing to justify my purchase!!! Even Lora Leigh's VERY WORST I've reviewed are 100% better books across the board...as are several other authoresses works I've reviewed to date, and sometimes been less than entirely thrilled with! Those at least I felt justified to complete my reading prior to releasing my written review...not this time however!!! Point blank to me IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY AT ANY PRICE SO DON'T BUY IT!!!
