This anthology is a good read. The stories are based on various fairy tales with adult themes. At times it is relatively easy to match the story to the childhood tale, but at other times the short review provided by anthologists clues you into the tale. This is not a quick read. Some stories are cute, some are horrific, some teach lessons and some are just very interesting. The tales are set in the past, the present and in the future. There is violence in the tales and some have sexual themes. I would recommend this anthology for readers of fantasy.
