Love this blender - my first high-powered blender that I have always wanted. Makes great smoothies & you can even make flour. I use it every day for smoothies, sauces, etc. A wonderful booklet with recipes & instructions comes with it. I got this model because of the size - it fits under my kitchen cupboard well. It is not very quiet & my cat runs out of the room when I turn it on (I always warn her), but it does not hurt my ears & does not bother me. Happy that I got it. Make sure you read all the instructions first.This is my second Vitamix, (in a different location) so obviously I liked it well enough to order another. This makes smoothies (my main use) as well as the first. But even though it's been five years since I bought the first one, the spout on this new one is as annoying as the first. The problem? It continues to drip after you pour your smoothie, so more often than not, you wind up with a few drops of smoothie on your kitchen counter or on the floor. In fact, this one (the 5300) adds another layer of annoyance--the pouring area is wider than my previous Vitamix, which makes it easy to pour some liquid outside the glass you're pouring into, so smoothie goes down the side.....and must be wiped up. You'd think with all the great engineering that goes into the Vitamix to make it an excellent and durable performer, the main container would be properly engineered, but it's not. Too bad. I lowered my rating slightly for that reason.The best investment I’ve madeI like its power; it is a good blender but not as user friendly as my old blender.I use it for smoothies, making ginger juice and nut-based dressings. Was delightedthat it came so quickly and it works great. Love the color too.Overall a good blender, able to blend my smoothie smoothly within a minute, however, noise might be a little high but didn't mind the noise. 9/10I just ordered this blender yesterday and received it today! I love it and the shipping was incredible. My last Vitamix was 17 years old and is still working! Just wanted the newer model that had a shorter canister that would fit under my kitchen cabinets. Don't hesitate to get a Vitamix...gave my old one to my daughter. It probably is good for another 17 years!I have dentures, and smoothies need less seeds. Vitamix does the job well.Muy buen producto
