The XXL are large enough to fit my 190# English Mastiff’s front paws. His paw width measured almost 5” wide. These go on fairly easily, careful with the dew claw and the elastic section being open wide enough. And they Velcro securely. He doesn’t have any trouble walking in them if they are on and secured well (no gap at ‘toes’). They just don’t last too long. The fabric at the front seem starts to fray after a couple miles of sidewalk walking. But, they aren’t TOO expensive for being fairly ‘disposable’ in quality. I only need them on 1 front paw, and they come in a 4-pack. So, I can stretch how long one pack lasts. And they last longer if you just need them for backyard grass.I would gladly pay more if they were durable. Finding dog boots for an English Mastiff size paw doesn’t have a lot of options.I've been using these boots on my Walker hound for the past three years. I've tried other brands but I keep coming back to these because my dog tolerates them better than the others. They're a good boot with one exception. They have a plastic sole that is sewn to the bottom of the boot. It's the cheapest part of the whole boot and it takes the most wear, who thinks of this stuff? Anyway, the bottoms of the boots wear out after about 10 to 15 miles in our conditions. Our conditions are off road and out across dirt, grass and stones. A good quality leather would be a big improvement for me. But, maybe you have a small dog who walks on the grass or sidewalk. I think these boots would be fine in that situation. So hard to find boots that fit well for bigger dogs. We purchased these for our 90lb 13 year old black lab as he seemed to be more bothered by the cold snow in his later years. They actually fit well (xl) and were reasonably easy to get on and off. Once he got the routine down of getting them on and got used to them he loved them and moved around in the snow much better. Sadly he passed but after a few winters of hard use, these boots still have some life in them so we started using them last year for our new black lab "puppy" - they were a little big last winter but are a good fit now that he's at his full size. They probably won't last past this winter but I feel we got our money's worth since they have been used daily each winter for going on 4 years now.We had some deep snow out here this year and wanted to try these out but as soon as he started running they came right off. So wasn't the product for meI read the reviews about these running large, but they are crazy big. I have 3 dogs that I would call small (15 pounds), medium (25 pounds), and large (55 pounds). I ordered a set of small boots first to try them out because I figured they would fit one of the dogs for sure. They do! The big guy. The size SMALL boots fit my 55 pound golden retriever mix. That is crazy. I am giving them 4 stars because they are nice boots. Would give them five stars if their sizing was less whacked.HUGE! My dog is a 30lb Australian Shepherd mix and according to all other sizing charts for the boots she would be a small. I read the reviews for these boots and they seemed like the best option for her since the cold cement hurts her paws and we can't even go one block without her limping. The boots themselves would have been great, but they don't fit even slightly. They fell off with her just walking down the stairs. They're actually closer to fitting my 100lb lab (just barely too small for him). So if you are looking at these get them AT LEAST one size smaller than you would think for your dog.I have two dogs that I walk ever day, in the winter the salt and chemicals to melt snow really bother their feet. I was hoping to be able to coax them into these, though I knew they wouldn't be excited about them. So they seem tube like and inflexible, but my dog was not terribly cooperative in putting her feet down either...so I'm not sure if it's the fault of the product or of my dog but they didn't work for me.These were the smallest size I could find for my teacup chihuahua's tiny feet. They are still too big and fall off. They fit better on our Jack Russell Terriorist than the chihuahua. They are very well made and would be great for the little guy if they would stay on.Bought size M for my 85 pound Sheppard and they fit great. Only gave 4 stars because they start to rip pretty quick, we have had them for 2 months now and the bottom sole is completely destroyed. I am on to my second pair now and will continue to buy them because the price is good, my dog likes them, and they are the best fit I’ve found thus far. Wish they could improve the quality of the sole.It said they were RED, but came as blue, not a big deal. They are very well made but are incredibly stiff, too stiff for a small dog to walk in. I tighten them as much as I can but they do not stay on. I think these would be fine for larger breeds, but for a 12lb dog, much too bulky and awkward. The undersole is vinyl & cracks in the cold. Very slippery in snow.Se resbalan mucho, no tienen buen agarreThe soles of the boots are very slippery. The material is extremely stiff.
