Bad Review!Buyer Beware, these grips are NOT wood grips.Looking at the pattern, wood does not grow like this. Looks like lairs of laminated synthetic material.Underside, with the use of a fresh razor knife had to open up the screw holes a little. While shaving out a little material it did not feel like wood. It was like shaving off dielectric material. Very hard stuff.With the use of gun oil decided to see how the material reacted. With a Q-Tip I rubbed a little oil on one end of the grip and it went totally black. Had oil on my hands the other ends and top surface darkened. Rubbing alcohol did not clear up any oil smudges on grips.With rubbing alcohol and white cloth I tested the underside. Looked like red die bled into the cloth.The underside has a wood grain pattern, but why would it bleed out a red die onto white cloth?Also, grips do not smell like wood.Do not know what these grips are made of, they are certainly Not made of wood.Sincerely,Stan.
